For the second year, the DSAS invites the public to participate in the fight against the installation of the tiger mosquito by watching for mosquitoes active during the day and by emptying small volumes of water around them. The tiger mosquito is one of the invasive species whose arrival and installation are favored by climate change. The arrival of this annoying insect and transmitter of diseases represents a health risk in the long term. It is already present in several neighboring countries and cantons, with which the campaign is coordinated, but has not been identified on the territory of Vaud in 2020.
