The Conseil du Léman remains mobilized against the tiger mosquito on the whole territory of Lake Geneva

The month of June marks the beginning of the prevention and awareness campaign against the tiger mosquito. Faced with this particularly aggressive mosquito, the departments of Haute-Savoie, Ain and the cantons of Geneva, Valais and Vaud are continuing their mobilization and renewing the collaboration initiated in 2021. This collaboration is reflected in the sharing of experiences in terms of information and surveillance of the tiger mosquito, which has resulted in the establishment of a map of its presence on the territory of the Council of Lake Geneva at the end of 2021.

This map shows the communes where the tiger mosquito is present and those where it has been observed on a regular basis. It also shows the municipalities that are subject to special surveillance by trapping for the current year. This map can be consulted on the Conseil du Léman website.

The tiger mosquito continues to advance on both sides of the border, so it is important to keep in mind the main preventive measures.
