Mosquitoes all year round? Not really

Mosquitoes will sting us even in the winter months. Ouch. And again: if emissions harmful to the planet continue at these rates, by 2080 eight billion people could come into contact with malaria or dengue fever. Climate change, in short, could alter (and by a lot) our relationship with this insect. Two studies support this. One from the University of Florida, the other from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
Is this really the case? Or rather: will we have to get used to a continuous presence of mosquitoes in Ticino as well? Questions and answers.
