A new phase of testing is underway in the municipalities of Ascona and Losone. Following the encouraging results obtained in Morcote, the Vector Ecology division of SUPSI’s Institute of Microbiology is preparing to continue testing the sterile male technique. The aim is to verify the effectiveness of the method also in non-isolated urban and tourist settings, such as Ascona and Losone. The new release activities have just started and will continue until September.
